This book is based on the findings of a study on the existence of marketing activities and initiatives in Jewish society in Palestine during the Mishna and Talmud era. It includes a number of subjects relating to economic and marketing activities, such as marketing channels, pricing and price regulation, the commercial credit system, advertising and sales promotion. The final chapter describes the social status and image of the various marketers, and the sages' attitude towards them. All of the descriptions present the realities of life in Palestine against the backdrop of similar types of activity throughout the Roman Empire.
