Following the 'Iron Swords' war, delays are expected in the transfer of cargo, including mail items to destinations abroad
Please note that all transactions in the website are in NIS, regardless of your location. Your credit card will be charged in Israeli currency and any credit card charges in that respect remain between you and your credit card provider. An approximate conversion button of the sums to USD can be found on the checkout page.
Overseas Delivery Options
Shipping fees are determined by calculating weight and destination. Airmail is the only option at present, and can take up to 60 business days to arrive.
The cost of shipping will update automatically. The shipping fee can be seen after moving to the shopping cart and setting the shipping region. Setting your region incorrectly on the first page of checkout will cause you to be unable to choose your country of delivery. If you do not see your country as one of the options on the second page in the field marked "country", then you will have to go back to the previous page and reset your region.
The only shipping options that you will see are the ones that are available for your package weight and your country destination.
Customs and other fees, if applicable, are to be paid directly by the customer.
Delivery Options in Israel
A. Home Delivery - 35 NIS
1-4 business days from the date of order, not including Book Week and other promotional conferences.
* For home deliveries, you must list an address and not a PO Box. Please also provide cellphone details.
B. Delivery by Israel Post
Packages up to 1 kg – 20 NIS. Over 1 kg – 30 NIS.
Delivery of packages is limited to 20 kg per order. Delivery can be made to post office boxes. Please note that delivery by Israel Post is limited currently because of downsizing within the Israel Post Service. Bar-Ilan University Press does not take any responsibility for delays in the postal system and cannot guarantee that timely delivery of orders by Israel Post will occur.
C. Self Pickup
The service is free of charge. You can pick up the books from the publishing house after receiving an email updating that the order has been completed. The collection takes place from Bar-Ilan University in building 405 (Archive), next to Coffee Time, on Sundays-Thursdays between the hours 09:00-15:30, by appointment only.
General Information
* Preparation of orders for delivery usually takes 1-4 business days (Sundays-Thursdays between the hours of 8:30-15:30), not including Hebrew Book Week.
We make every effort to prepare orders as soon as possible in order to deliver as quickly as possible.
* Business day - Business days are considered Sunday to Thursday until 16:30. Days that are not considered a business day: Friday - Saturday, holiday eves, holidays, sabbaticals, weekdays, memorial days and the day the order is placed.
* Deliveries by Israel Post are out of the control of the publisher once the package is delivered to the Israel Postal Service. Bar-Ilan University Press does not control the length of time from the moment the package is delivered to the Israel Post until it arrives at the customer.
* Preparation of delivery orders takes longer during university vacations (holidays, sabbaticals) and during major promotions.
Product Exchange Policy
In accordance with the Company's product exchange policy, and subject to the Consumer Protection Law, 1981, any product purchased may be replaced subject to the following conditions: (1) The product is in new condition, has not been used and is in its original packaging. (2) You have a replacement note And / or receipt. (3) The product may be replaced within 30 days from the date of purchase of the products (which appears on the receipt).
A customer who is interested in receiving a refund will be able to receive it subject to the following conditions: (1) The product is in new condition, has not been used and is in its original packaging. (2) The product was purchased in an amount higher than NIS 50. (3) The customer has a replacement and / or receipt note. (4) It is possible to return the product and receive a refund within 14 days from the date of receipt of the products.
How to receive the refund: As long as the customer meets the conditions above and in accordance with the law, the refund will be made in the same manner as the payment was made. Please note that it could take up to 30 business days from the date of cancellation of the original transaction.
For products purchased on sale, the policy of exchanging / returning the products will be in accordance with the rules of the sale.
Transaction Cancellation Policy
According to Israeli Consumer Protection Law, it is not possible to cancel the purchase of products that can be recorded, copied and reproduced after the consumer has opened their original packaging. It is not possible to cancel a transaction for the purchase of a book whose original packaging has been opened or does not have packaging. The transaction can be canceled for a book whose original packaging was not opened within 14 days from the date of receipt of the book, whichever is later. In a distance selling transaction made with a consumer who is a person with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant, the consumer may cancel the transaction within four months from the date of making the order or from the date of receipt of the disclosure document, provided that the transaction included a conversation between the dealer and the consumer or a call via electronic communication. The cancellation notice must state the name, telephone and ID number of the consumer. When canceling a transaction that is not due to a defect or non-compliance, or any other breach of contract, the consumer's money is returned to him within 30 business days of receiving the cancellation notice, except for a cancellation fee of 5% or NIS 100, whichever is lower.
The product will be returned at the consumer's expense.
When canceling a transaction due to a defect or receipt of a different product than ordered, or due to non-delivery of the product on time, or any other breach of contract, no cancellation fee will be charged, the consumer's money will be returned within 30 business days of receiving the cancellation notice.
Business Days - Sunday to Thursdays
Days which are not business days: Friday, Saturday, all national holidays, Rosh Hashana, Erev Yom Kippur and Yom Kippur, all days of Succot, two days of Purim, all days of Pesach, Shavuot, Yom Hazikaron, Yom Ha'atzma'ut, Tisha B'Av, and days when the University has a forced vacation (usually one week in the summer).
